# What is videngineer?

> Reverse-engineer any video, keep the playbook.

videngineer answers: **what made this video work, and what should I carry into my own?**

Paste a YouTube, TikTok, X, or Instagram link, or upload a video file. videngineer turns it into a structured teardown: the strategy, the edit, the script skeleton, the sound map, the cast/world reference, and the production recipe.

It is a study and reference tool. Use it to understand the mechanism behind a video, build better briefs, and keep a searchable library of patterns that work.
