# Public teardowns library

> Free public teardown browsing, filters, category pages, and run-this-on-your-video flows.

Public teardowns answer: **what can I learn before running my own analysis?**

The public teardown library is free to browse without a card. It is the fastest way to understand what a finished videngineer report looks like and to collect references before spending credits or running your own source.

## What is public

Public teardowns show the report layers Mark has made available for research and discovery. You can read the format call, logline, script structure, cuts, blueprint, sound, cast/world, and recipe surfaces when they are part of that teardown.

*Live example: [Coinbase - "Break The Cycle" teardown](https://videngineer.com/teardowns/cinematic/coinbase-break-the-cycle-manifesto-teardown/).*

## Filters and category pages

Use filters to narrow by format, category, and style. Category pages live at:

```text theme={null}
https://videngineer.com/teardowns/<category>/
```

Use category permalinks when you want to share a research silo with a teammate or return to a set later.

## Run this on your video

Public teardown pages can point you back into your own analysis flow. Use this when a public example shows the kind of report you want, but you need the same breakdown for your product, category, or client source.

## Download and sign-in gates

Some actions, especially downloads, saving to Library, paid assets, and running your own teardown, require sign-in or a paid plan. Browsing public teardowns is free; production assets and private research live behind the relevant plan and credit gates.
