# Submit a video

> Supported sources, upload behavior, naming, and what happens after Analyze.

Submit a video answers: **what can I run through videngineer, and what happens after I click Analyze?**

Use this page when you are starting a new teardown from your own source. If you only want to study existing examples, start with the [Public teardowns library](/running/public-teardowns-library).

## Supported sources

videngineer accepts:

* YouTube
* TikTok
* X
* Instagram
* Direct file upload

Use a public link when the post is available without a private login. Use upload when you have the source file locally, the post is private to you, or the platform blocks a clean pull.

<Warning>
  Only submit videos you have the right to study. videngineer is for research, reference, and production planning; it is not a license to reuse someone else's footage, brand, or protected creative.
</Warning>
