Search & filters

Search & filters answer: how do I find the right reference after my Library gets big? Use Library search when you know what you saved. Use filters when you remember the shape of the asset: analysis, clip, frame, cutout, brand, source, category, tags, or teammate. Collections are reusable versions of those filters.

Smart views

Smart views are automatic slices of your Library, such as:

• Recent items
• Starred analyses
• Starred media
• Assets
• Collections
• Trash

They are useful when you do not remember the Folder but do remember the action you took.

Collections as saved filters

When you use the same filter often, save it as a Collection. The Collection keeps applying those rules automatically as new matching assets appear and old ones change.

• Match all filters when the view should be precise.
• Match any filter when the view should cast a wider net.
• Edit the Collection rules later; membership follows the rules, not a fixed checklist.

Folders still answer “where is this file?” Collections answer “which assets currently match this research question?” Canvas is separate: compose there after you find what you need in Library.

• Search by campaign or client naming convention.
• Search by technique title from The Cuts.
• Search by product, brand, category, or hook phrase.
• Use filters first when the Library is large, then search inside the narrowed view.
• Turn a filter combination you reuse into a Collection.
